i've looked around for info on this but havent found anything except that there is a practitioner who is deaf. has anybody had experience dealing with deafness treating/curing it? i'm trying to heal my friend from a distance since i read that takata cured blindness in 28 days once.

Really interesting topic this buddy, let's hope someone can give input. I'll do a bit of reading bout it today, see if i can come up with anything to add.

I believe that people heal themselves.

I believe that as Reiki Practitioner we have

I haven't seenor heard of deafness being cured. The extent of help that can be given likely depends on what the underlying condition is.

But for the ears generally, in Traditional Chinese Medicine, kidney energy supports the function of the ears. Boosting the energy of the kidneys and adrenal glands, and then sending some of that energy to the ears, has helped to alleviate tinnitus.

I haven't heard of any specific instances of Reiki healing deafness, but I would say it's worth a shot to send distance Reiki for a period of time and see if there is any improvement. I think it's also helpful to remind the recipient that s/he is the one who is truly doing the healing and that you are merely helping facilitate the process. Explain that his/her body may take a while to heal because Reiki works on multiple levels and sometimes it's like peeling an onion and it takes a while to get to the root cause of the issue, so the more the recipient embraces the idea of owning his/her healing experience, the more potential there is for healing to occur.

And sometimes healing does not occur the way we had envisioned (deafness is gone!) but our ability accept ourselves as we are does occur and that in and of itself is also a sign that healing has taken place. Often, the inability to accept ourselves and our physical limitations can create more illness.
