Just opened my mail now and saw a message from my local library - Taireido - Morihei Tanaka book has arrived and is ready for me to pick up! oh i do hope that its the english version that has come

There is another book reprinted in 2001 by Yahata-Shoten.... "TAIREIDO OYOBI REISHIJUTSU KOUJUROKU Recorded lectures of Tairedio and Reishi-jutsu - Morihei Tanaka". But this book is not the same thing...

this is the one i ordered from the library, will confirm this when they open up at 10:00 AM today.
Also, I am not allowed to take the book out of the library, so I will have to get them to copy for me.

of self-healing.

oh yes indeed, i like libraries too hehe - bit of a nerd like that.
was stuck in a board meeting all day, so didn't get a chance to go have a look at it, but will be there tomorrow at 10AM with the kids ready to ATTACK the library so to speak hehe...
bringing my scanner and lots of coffee. Did check out the copyright and ownership rights, and for private and educational purposes you may copy at will especially 70 years after the writer dies - then its free for all public domain - almost hehe
for private use and study there is nothing to stop you making a copy for yourself, was confirmed in the library rules.

will post an update when i come home smiling tomorow aft.

Yeah, I am stocking up on the coffee, and i do think you are right about the amount of pages - that's why i am bringing the scanner, as photocopy would be costly (assuming i have to pay for the photocopy).
And for the language, i do hope so too (and it should be, as i did specify the book was "Taireido: A new revelation for the spiritual, mental and physical salvation of mankind by Morihei Tanaka (Published by Taireido Ho-nin in 1920)" as mentioned above.

Well, I did have a look at the book today - its as big as the bible and the pages as thin. 479+ pages, good condition and in english.
Read a few chapters at random, very interesting and reiki-like hehe...
Anyway, it was specified no photocopy, but i questioned that, and ended up talking to wellcome-library in uk, and they believe i can scan it no problem as you can make private copies and the copyright went out in 1990, but would check up possible restrictions etc and get back to me... so until i get a confirmation sent to me and the local library (possibly monday) i will have to rely on my 11mpx camera, and like the local librarians said - well its up to you (meaning they would turn a blind eye) after i explained the difficulty in getting this out of print book and its value for future generations to study .

keep you all updated as i progress through the library system
