I draw mine pretty small i guess.

It'd be interesting to see if the female practitioners thought size matters, in Reiki? Very Happy

That's an interesting question. If I draw a symbol
in the air & it's about the size of my fist, I have
not used much energy to draw it but If I draw a very
large symbol in the air about 16" x 16" I use more energy....
but I sense that you may be asking if I use a small symbol
vs a big symbol during an attunment that there's a difference
in energy being passed on to the recipient.

IMO a symbol is part of the rituals that help us focus on
balance & harmony. Each symbol has its own meaning and color.
Energy is exchanged between the teacher & student. The size
of the symbol does not carry more/less energy as it is just a
    symbolic expression. cyclops

    Very funny Wayne...lol

The magik of the symbol is known to us by the connection we realize through being attuned to it, and by it`s use. I cannot see this being relevant to what size you choose, when you draw it. In fact, if one see`s a symbol in their minds eye clearly, it may not be necessary to draw it at all. I say this in regard to connecting with the energies represented by the symbol, I would always draw a symbol while attuning someone.
This is a personal opinion. not backed up by anything or any source of info. I have a tendency to draw big ones, for whatever reason...However, saying it`s name or jumon associated with the symbol, does seem to enhance the mental/physical sensations i feel when working with the symbols...I would have to say...generally speaking, that size does not matter.

you daft sod! I would have responded but me computer was playing silly beggars!!.......

my response would have been, size does NOT matter, it is how one chooses to use it that does.....regarding all aspects of your thought process!! ahahaha

    ~~

to be honest I very very rarely draw the symbols with my hands......I tend to draw them with my mind....

and Solas, out of curiousity you mentioned that each symbol has their own colour?? care to elaborate a little.?... I have 'seen' the symbols in different colours but not always the same colour each time... I mostly see them as a beautiful silvery sparkling Light ....

and I often find when working with people, particular symbols automatically draw themselves.......as though the recipient is needing the energy connection that that particular symbol can attribute.... and when I try and draw another symbol my mind wont let me.... anyone had this experience??

When I was introduced to the symbols and their meanings
Cho Ku Rei was green in color, Sei He Ki was purple &
the Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen was gold....the Aura & Chakra's
all seem to have similar colors...... Silvery Sparkling
lights is a beautiful image. Like a Star @ heaven

thats interesting Solas, there were no implications of specific colours connected to the symbols when I was introduced to them ........although I used to see a lot of purple energy when first working with Reiki...........and a client receiving distant reiki saw lots and lots of purple........but different people see different things.......

I wonder if any others were introduced to sepcific clours for the symbols??

Lavender is the color that I'm drawn too.
Very few of my clients see colors. I'm
told by other practitioners that color
    represent your spirituality.

It seems that folks add their own touch
when teaching. Some add crystals and other
artifacts when teaching Reiki. There's got
to be close to 200 different version of
the Reiki System. IMO what really counts is
that healing takes place. I know that many
folks do want to be teach as close to DR Usui's
style. I understand that his style was simple
    & passive.

I just came across an article that states Black
is a mystery color in Japan. I'll post the article
    in the coffee section sunny
