    New Student!

    Post by reikihealer83 on Thu Sep 08, 2011 1:53 pm

    I am prepping my teaching material for a brand new student! My mom asked me to teach her Reiki and I am really happy to say that she is my next student. She is such a caring person and I was not sure when she asked a while back if she was serious but she asked me again a few days ago before she went on vacation if I would teach her and I knew that she was still interested. I am hoping to bring more students on board for another class later on this year. Any advice as to how many students is just right? I was thinking about 4 would be good.

    The number of Reiki students would depend
    on your teaching experience & comfort zone.

    Thanks for the advice Chi Solas. I am still new to teaching (Mom is only my second student at this point) so I think a one on one or no more than 2 people per class would be good right now. I am just really excited!

    2 people would be a good # to start with.
    Its easier when teaching hand positions
    both students can practice on each other
    as you direct them. You'll find questions
    more diverse & challenging the larger the
    class group. sunny

    After 13 years of teaching Reiki, I still only teach groups of between 1 and 4 people ( mainly because I teach at home) but although I sometimes teach one person, I find it easier if there are at least two when it comes to demonstrating hands positions etc.
    cheers
