Hello everyone, I'm Akairyuu (Red Dragon, because Dragons are my favourite creatures 
!) and I'm a 20-year-old girl from Scotland. I'm a University Student, studying Biological Sciences at Heriot Watt and and an archer at the Heriot Watt Archer Club 
!
My spiritual journey started when I was about eleven, when I discovered the subject of Ki energy as I felt a strange pull flowing down my arms during some techniques I was doing in karate. When I did some research on the internet, I found that this was ki in action and feeling a pull in my gut to study it further, I continued to read up on it further and learn more about, even how to control it to an extent.
At first, the feel of the electro-magnetic rivers flowing through my arms was a bit weird for me at first and it took me a little while to get used to it. After about a week or so later, however, I found myself being able to have better control over my energy and could make a little ball of ki my hands, which only got more pronounced as the months rolled in. Of course, along the way, I discovered other different things like how to see auras and a little healing technique that I created where I used the concept of pushing out the negative energy with positive energy. And this is where my clairvoyance kicked in as I could distinguish the difference between positive and negative energies by seeing the colours in my mind (This practice did actually work on a few occassions that I actually used it, mainly on a friend who pulled a calf muscle and someone who had tennis elbow).
Then a few years later after a two year break from energy work, I started a fresh on a nice wee forum that I found, where I learned so much more about energy. I learned about the chakras,the different types of energies there are, meditations and vital techs such as grounding and protection(Which I really need during the full moon)...
Then a couple of years later after I was more defined about energy (But still have a lot to learn) I got drawn into the subject of healing and spiritual awakening as opposed to ki manipulation. This is where I started to look into Reiki. After months of trying to find Reiki classes, I was unsuccessful after seeing how expensive the classes were (I'm a poor student after all lol), the fact that I didn't have much time on my hands due to university and the fact that my parents were very skeptical and close-minded... But after not ignoring my gut to keep searching, I finally found a free distant attunement. I initially didn't set any high expectations from the attunement, but I was wrong! The attunement that I did was a very awakening experience as when I closed my eyes ot expecting much, I suddenly felt as though my body just opened up and I felt as though I was floating in the vastness of space. I could then feel this wonderful new, warm, pure energy flowing through my body... like I was Reiki.... And so there you have it, though my spiritual journey that I failed to give up, I finally got myself Attuned to Usui Reiki Level 1 a few weeks ago but the only thing was, I had to teach myself through a manual with no support, but I'm finding my way as I always do as I've been teaching myself things my whole life and after some seaching around for Reiki forums, I found a couple including this one and well, here I am! Another piece to put my life jigsaw puzzle, now just to find the other pieces... lol 
Anyway, yeah that's my wee life story there. Sorry I bored you to tears, I always rabbit on about my life story in introductions lol.
