    Hi Bridget,

I am looking for a share. I have been out of practice for the past year and I need to get back into practice.

I went to a share this week, but it wasn't for me. I figure I will just be a reiki share vagrant until I find the right one for me. Or maybe I will just remain a vagrant, it might be more fun that way.

    What are you up to?

I have weekday evenings and weekends off now and I have a non stressful job. Smile

When I needed more practice I would volunteer at
    assisted living/hospitals. Brigham & Women's
Emerson,Dana Faber have Reiki programs for volunteers
Brigham & Women's has a pilot program were they will
    teach you, Reiki expense's paid.

Have you tried typing in your local area, "Reiki shares
in______ " you might want to name the type of Reiki share
    that your looking for.

Since I retired I volunteer Reiki and teach immigrants
at the local library to speak english. They come from
    China/Haiti/Afghanistan/Columbia/Etiophia/Vietnam/ India
    etc; it is challenging.

Having evenings and weekends off in a non stressful job is
a plus in todays job market.I wish you continued success
    with Reiki Blessings. sunny

I went to a not so good share on monday and a really good one last night. I just feel like wandering around for a while and meeting people now that I can. I will try the hospitals when I settle down a little more study I want to study with people for a while and see what they have to say about reiki and see how they do things.

What makes a Reiki share really good?
What makes a Reiki share not so good?

also goes to one in Beverly.

The not so good reiki share..the people running it had gone to a seminar about getting back to the basics so they had been doing things a bit differently...they announced that no symbols could be used and that we had to do specific hand positions in a specific order and they rang a bell when we could switch positions...they walked around and corrected people by saying that they could only hold their hands a certain way and then you could or could not touch a person depending upon how they thought it should be done...it just wasnt a pleasant experience...you know not a good way to spend a few hours of what should be enjoyable...no music allowed no candles allowed..I could go on

The other one was wonderful...the people were nice the atmosphere was nice and the nigh just flew by..there were people not attuned to reiki all the way up to reiki master

when i was subbing in brockton most people refused to go into the ell classes, but they were my favorite ones. I spent some time in the two way program. non americans have better manners than us and its fun Smile I started to get certified to teach it but didnt finish. Props are good Smile

I work with special needs adults now for vinfen...after I graduated things got bad in brockton layoffs and no job for me and they have never gotten any better...I love my job, but I can payed nothing.

Sounds like your getting a diverse lesson
on, "what is Reiki". It helps to experience
first hand how other Reiki folks perform
Reiki sessions. You were able to clearly
see what style works for you. sunny
